Welcome Letter To Boys 3rd and 4th Grade Parents

Dear Parents:

Another spring soccer season is upon us! I’m excited about another season of fun and instruction for your sons and hope you are too!

The boys spring program continues to be strong in this age group. The program is focused on the rules of the game, teamwork, positions, respect for others and developing confidence in each player. The Spring program (Travel Soccer) is where we introduce competition against neighboring towns. The basic philosophy is to foster a positive, supportive atmosphere so that every player has a fun time and a great experience.

We have a great team of Coaches this spring and they are looking forward to working with your sons to help them develop their soccer skills. Our program is based on three principles: Education, Sportsmanship, and Fun. We strive to achieve each of these goals and our volunteer coaches do the best they can to work individually with each player. I ask that you support the coaches the best you can throughout the season because they devote a lot of time and effort to the boys and the program.

  • Games are on Saturday mornings.
  • All HOME games are played at the Osborne fields.
Game and practice schedules will be provided by each coach and are posted here on the Website. Game cancelations will be posted on the Website. Coaches will contact their players if a practice is cancelled due to inclement weather. Players should contact their coaches in advance if they can not make a practice or a game.

While the league provides uniforms and some equipment to each team, I have outlined some things that each player should bring that would benefit the coaches:

  • Soccer Ball – Size 4 (please put the boys name on it in permanent marker)
  • Water Bottle
  • Bug Spray

Finally, just some rules we need to follow for Travel Soccer this spring.

  • All Players must have shin guards in order to play.
  • No jewelry is allowed during games. Please remove prior to games.
  • Parents/Spectators are not allowed to watch the game on the same side as the players. This is a mandatory rule in the spring and is strictly enforced. We love the support, but please make sure you watch the game from the opposite side of the field of the team benches.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone during the season. Thanks for all your support! Let the fun begin!

Best Regards,

Boys 3rd & 4th Grade Coordinator
