Norwell Youth Soccer has adopted the following Policies from
Coastal Youth Soccer League at all Levels of Play
1) ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Adopted August 2009
All persons responsible for a team (coaches on sidelines) and all the spectators shall support the referee. Failure to do so will undermine the referee’s authority and has the potential of creating a hostile environment for players, the referee and all other participants and spectators. Coaches, in cooperation with the Referee, will actively control spectators.
Positive encouragement is always welcome from the Sidelines but please let the coaches instruct and give direction to the players during the game.
Coastal Youth Soccer League has adopted the following rule:
No one is to address the referee during the Game!!
This includes audible comments questioning calls and /or abusive or defaming comments.
2) All Spectators must be located on opposite side of field from Players & Coaches
Adopted August 2009
All spectators are required to watch the competition on the opposite side of the field directly across from Players and Coaches. This includes the area located directly behind or adjacent to goal areas. Failure to do so could result in stoppage of play until spectators are removed from the unauthorized areas. Coaches, in cooperation with the Referee, will actively control spectators.
General Field Rules:
No pets are allowed on Norwell Town Fields
Osbourne Fields:
1)
There is NO PARKING along the road leading into the middle school directly located closest to the fields. This area has been clearly marked with No Parking Signs and Police will ticket cars if they are unlawfully parked. Parking in this location creates a significant safety issue as players and spectators utilize this area to walk to/from the parking lots and fields.
2)
Please Stay Off the ropes outlining the athletic fields with private owner property.
East Field:
Please do not use Hoop Pole lane for dropping off and picking up players/coaches. This private road is only to be utilized for handicap accessibility. Parking is available behind and along the Norwell Town Hall for all spectators.
